Smith Teamaker is a new entrant into the specialty tea category, and is quickly defining itself as a leader in the “Super Premium” segment of the tea category. Smith Teamaker, the latest tea effort by the co-founder of Stash Tea and Tazo Tea Steven Smith, imports teas and herbs directly from source and through traders that he has dealt with for over 30 years.

The Teamakers at Smith blend in small batches to ensure that the leaves and flowers packed are not crushed. Inside the Smith sachet, the shape is not unusual, but the artistry is unique. The roomy, relaxed fit biodegradable sachet encourages greater leaf expansion to give you superior flavor. Nossa Familia Coffee - "Our Family"

four_brothers_525Nossa Familia means “Our Family” in Portuguese. For six generations, our family has offered internationally celebrated coffee from our farm in Brazil.

In 1890, nestled beside an ancient Brazilian volcano, our great-great-grandparents planted the family’s first coffee crop. They developed methods of cultivation in response to their environment. Without electricity or automobiles, everything was done by hand, with much care. Over a century later, these same methods are both heritage and day-to-day realities.

Stumptown Sulawesi Source Report - July 2010

4799723429_245cce16c3The Tana Toraja growing region of Sulawesi, Indonesia is one of the world's lost coffee origins. For decades this area produced some of the most sought after coffee anywhere in the globe. Sadly, these beautiful coffees that made Toraja famous became tremendously difficult to source. There isn't a clear-cut explanation but there is no question that a good part of it is due to the arduous journey a buyer must undertake just to arrive.
